2. Where do Jem, Scout, and Dill sit in the courthouse? Why is this significant?
They sit in the colored balcony with Reverand Sykes. It is significant because white people sit in the bottom. People back then were separated and weren't to mix colors and that got them in trouble.

Q.1
The Maycomb people at the courthouse acted with, if you will, the white woman, Mayella Ewell, who was supposedly raped by Tom Robinson. They acted this way because most people in that time were racist. Many of them wanted Tom Robinson put in jail because Mayella's innocent appearance tricked the people, making her look pitiful and Tom look guilty and bad.

2. Scout,Jem, and Dill all sit with the blacks. That is odd because most white folks don't sit with African Americans. People should stop calling the black people negroes. I mean how offensive is that, It's like calling us Vanilla. I find that very offensive. If you're gonna blog, blog right don't call African Americans, negroes. How do you think Chris feels. From now on people better refer to them as African Americans. That is rude. Very rude. I never thought of Capitan as a racist town, but now after seeing all this name calling and insulting, I fully see this town in another way. It is depressing I feel that this is a great town in a great county in a great state in a great country in a great continent in a great hemisphere in a great world in a great galaxy and I am saddened and distrought about all of this. I understand the conditions of Harper Lee (the author of TKM) publishing the word nigger and/or negro in To Kill a Mockingbird. I see that it was a different time when that book was published and it wasn't extremely offensive to many blacks, but you know what it is to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't stand for this and that is why I ask Mrs. Sedillo permission to sleep through all readings of To Kill a Mockingbird. If permission is granted or declined please inform me of so sooner rather than later. Thank you and please take this short statement into reasoning
