One sign is that they heard noises in the bushes. They thought it was Cecil and then they kept hearing someone walking and noone was answering them so they figured out that it was not Cecil. Then they got attacked.

When Jem and Scout were walking home they were attacked. This event will always stick in their memory for one because they could have died. Two that they had to fight for their lives. Three they get saved by Boo Radley (whom they have never met or saw before).
Also Jem saved Scout from getting hurt more than just scratches. He also broke his arm and got a head wound.

On the way home from the pageant, Jem hears something. Bob Ewell attacks the children in the dark and tries to kill them. Jem tried to defeat Bob and broke his arm and was knocked unconsious. Boo Radley comes out of his house to save them. Scout interacts with him. However, Jem is unable to because the doctor gave him a heavy sedative, making him sleep heavily. Scout learns that you really do have to walk in someone's shoes to truly know who they are.

One of the events that changes them forever is the attack by bob Ewell. It is when he follows them in the woods and trys to kill them. But Bo saves them.

First of all Jem and Scout were
going to a Pageant. When Cecil
jumped out and scared Jem and
Scout.Scout was a HAM!!! Then
during the pageant Scout fell
asleep when she was suppose to
walk out on stage. The crowd went
wild and Ms. Merriweather was
dissappointed and told Scout that
she messed up the pageant. Then
when they left a man asked them if
they needed a ride and they said
no. They left and Jem said "HUSH".
Scout thought that Jem was
thinking and so she didn't
interrupt him. They kept on
walking and Scout forgot her shoes
and so they decided to turn around
and go back to the school. After
they are almost there the lights
go OUT!! DUNN DUNN DUN DONE!!!
Then Jem says "You can go tomorrow
and get them", Scout
says "Tomorrow is Sunday, so it
will be locked," "The janitor will
open it for you, okay,"said Jem.
They kept on walking and Jem
said "HUSH." So Scout stopped and
listened nad she didn't hear
anything. Then when they started
to walk somemore she heard the
footsteps and then Jem pushed down
on her head and she knew that it
meant to stop. So she stopped and
the footsteps stopped to. Then
they kept on walking and then
stopped but this time the
footsteps did not. So Jem
yelled "Run Scout, run run!" So
Scout tried to run but her costume
slowed her down. Then she heard
scuffling and she got knocked down
to the ground. She knew that they
were at the tree because the
ground was colder. Then something
hit Scout and was squeezing the
air out of her. Then someone
pulled the man off of her and so
she fell on the ground. Then she
heard more scuffling and then she
heard Jem yell. Then she heard
someone coughing and weezing and
she thought it was Jem but the
voice was to low to be Jems. Then
she looked around for Jem and then
she saw a man out of the corner of
her eye that was carrying Jem to
their house.
Q2.) When they were at the pagent and some little boy scared Scout and Jem.I think that really scard them really bad.
2.The day of the court hearing. When everbody started losing their mind when they heard that Tom Robinson had died. And the night Jem and Scout had gotten attacked and Boo had saved them.
