#2 Jem and Scout both like the tree and Uncle Jack Finch. But they both hate seeing their Aunt Alexandra, their Uncle Jimmy, and their cousin Francis. They hate Uncle Jimmy because he is so quiet and is not fun at all while their aunt is so proper that she drives them nuts. As for Francis he is just down right spoiled.

He thinks its the right thing to do and that all people are equal and should have a chance to be proven innocent as if he were a white man. It isn't usual for people to do their best but Atticus is trying

#3 Uncle Jack meant that she is getting taller, but also that she is becoming more of a lady then a tomboy kid. She was growing up as a tomboy due to her brother and father. Her brother treating her like a little brother than a sister and Atticus not sure of how he is supposed to raise a little girl. But, she is growing as a girl on her own. My thanks to Miss Maudie for changing Scout's characterization of her tomboy attitudes and stuff.

Unknown said...

1 He feels that Tom is a deserves to be treated just like a white person. He should be treated equally and he still deserves rights. Other lawyers would not help Tom because they did not like blacks, believed he was guilty, or did not want to get embarresed.
