Chapter 11

1. How does Atticus advise Jem to react to Mrs. Dubose's taunts?

2. Characterize Mrs. Dubose. Characterization includes personality traits, actions, thoughts/feelings, and other people's points of view.

3. What request does Mrs. Dubose make of Jem? What does Mrs. Dubose gain from this "punishment" to Jem? What does Jem gain?

Number 3.

Mrs. Dubose asks Jem to come to her house every day after school and read to her. She also wants him to fix her plants. She gains company, Jem gains respect and learns how to "keep his head" better when people say things that he doesn't approve of.

Ms Dubose asked Jem to come to the house after school everyday to read to her. She would also like him to fix her plants that got messed up. Jem gets respect nd learns how to beter when people say things that he does not like or approve of.

This is #3. Mrs.Dubose asks Jem to come to her house everyday after school and read to her and fix her plants, because he broke them. She gets Jem's company and Jem finally finds a little respect for her. He also learns how to keep his temper when people say bad things to him

#3 Mrs.Dubose asks Jem to come to her house every day and read to her and she wants him to fix her flowers.She gains a friendship with Jem and she gets to know him a whole lot more.Jem learns how to play it cool when people say things like that and he learns respect to his peers.

#3 Mrs. Dubose was Jem to read to her every day to her. He still has to fix her flowers that he cut up. She helps him learn how to keep his temper when people say bad things to him.

#3 Mrs. Douse ask Jem to come over every day after school and read to her. Also she wants him to fix her plants. From this punishment Mrs. Dubose gains company. Jem gains respect and learns to ingore what people say that he dis aproves.

She seems old and bitter I wouldn't want to meet her. She seems that even though she is sick she doesn't have to nag and make fun of people or call them names.
